Rafiq Enrique Mandal Muñoz is the Purchasing Manager and Office Coordinator for C4 Tech & Design. Born to a Cuban Refugee who grew up in Puerto Rico, and a half-Indian father from Guyana, Rafiq comes from a culturally diverse background, and is fluent in Spanish from his family and his early education in Mexico City. Before coming to New Orleans, Rafiq participated in the People to People program, and volunteered to teach low-income children in Mexico. During college at Loyola, Rafiq hosted an internet radio station for East Asian music, and worked as a social media manager for TechNOLA. As a result, Rafiq is committed to supporting technology and education in technology for New Orleans, in order to create a broader diversity in tech support. These aims will allow for the development of other technologically focused projects, such as supporting renewable energy, environmentally conscious processes, and developing a more robust recycling environment for the city’s citizens. Outside of work, Rafiq supports the creative industry as a member of the New Orleans Opera Association chorus and the American Guild of Musical Artists. He also volunteers by reading at WRBH Reading For The Blind radio, and spends the rest of his free time drumming, writing, and playing video games.
